The Southeast District will host female under-13 tryouts for soccer in Weyburn, where soccer players can compete to make the Southeast Team for the 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games.
The Southeast District female under-13 tryouts will be held on two Sundays, April 10 and April 24. Both dates will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Comp School Gym.
To qualify for the under-13 team, soccer players must be born between January 1, 2003 and December 21, 2004. Special cases may be made for those born in 2005.
The Saskatchewan Summer Games will be held in Estevan from July 24 to 30. All female soccer competition dates will be held July 24 to 27. All male soccer competition dates will be held July 27 to 30.
The 2016 Saskatchewan Summer Games host committee believes in a commitment to athletes, visitors, and coaches in providing quality care, comfort, and competition.
It is also important for the host committee to focus on the power of community, camaraderie, and volunteerism in being successful ambassadors to Summer Games athletes.
Hosting the 2016 Summer Games will enable visitors to experience Estevan and area’s vast amenities and unique culture and to foster tourism and economic development.
