Synchro Stars bring home medals from Provincials

Weyburn Synchro Stars competitive club had a successful meet at the Saskatchewan Sadie Caulder Knight Provincials on April 11 and 12 at the Lawson Aquatic Center in Regina.

Weyburn Synchro Stars competitive club had a successful meet at the Saskatchewan Sadie Caulder Knight Provincials on April 11 and 12 at the Lawson Aquatic Center in Regina.


The 13-15 year-old team, coached by Tracey Rothwell, proudly, won the gold medal in Team Championship. This team also saw team-mates Jillian Harder and Alexis Vandermey tie for second place in the figure competition in a field of 44 athletes.


The 11 and 12 year-old team, coached by Jasmine Kotylak, had a successful meet, winning the bronze medal and seeing Megan Dammann place in the top ten in figures.


The club's 10 and under and recreational combined team, coached by Shelley Dammann,  proudly placed first, in the largest field of recreational competitors ever. Marley Kradovill and Bree Hagen both placed in the top 10 in figures.


The 13-15 year-olds and 12 and under teams will now be focusing their training on attending the Canadian Prairie Invitational May 8, 9 and 10 at the Shaw Center in Saskatoon. This exciting event will host 316 athletes from the western provinces and across Canada and USA.
