Synchronized swimmers from Weyburn and area took part in the Sandra Roberts National Stream Provincial Championship held over the weekend in Regina, with some high scores achieved by older swimmers, including a team first-place finish.
For figures in ages 11-12, Hailey Kirkpatrick from Weyburn Synchro Stars placed 10th with a score of 52.2497, and Payton Caldwell was 13th with a score of 51.3332.
In the provincial stream figures for ages 13-15, Megan Dammann of Southeast Connections placed 11th with a score of 54.5833, and Marley Kradovill of Southeast Connections placed 29th with a score of 50.1668.
For the age 16-18 figures, Gemma Bittman of Southeast Connections placed first with a score of 58.0833; Alexis Vandermey of Southeast Connections was fifth with a score of 56.333; Savannah Pohl of Southeast Connections placed eighth with 55.0833; Marlie Weinrauch of Southeast Connections was ninth with 55.0003; Hannah Mantei was 10th with 54.6668; and Caitlin Graham of Southeast Connections placed 20th with a score of 49.9168.
In the provincial stream solo finals championship for ages 13-15, Haley Copeland of Southeast Connections placed third with a score of 109.9998.
In the solo finals championship for ages 16-18, Alexis Vandermey of Southeast Connections placed first with a score of 113.533, and Hannah Mantei of Southeast Connections was fourth with a score of 110.9001.
In the provincial stream duet free final championship for those aged 13-15, Megan Dammann and Marley Kradovill of Southeast Connections placed fourth with a score of 105.0668.
In the duet free final championship for those aged 16-18, Nyla Dyck and Marlie Weinrauch placed second with a score of 109.4169. In the team free final championship for ages 16-18, the Southeast Connections team placed first with a score of 112.2437.
