Three teams were undefeated after the first few nights of action in the Saskota Baseball League.

The Carnduff Astros had the only perfect record in the league at 2-0, while the Kenosee Cubs (2-0-1) and the Oxbow Chiefs (1-0-1) had yet to suffer a loss, as of May 24. Oxbow and Kenosee played to a 10-10 tie on Tuesday night in Kenosee, the only draw in the league this year.

On the flip side of the standings, the Redvers A’s and the Southeast Fireballs were the only teams looking for their first wins of the season. Each team dropped their first two games of the campaign.

The Carlyle Cardinals, Estevan Tower Wolves, Wawota Pats and Windthorst Pirates have 1-1 records, while the Arcola Threshers are sitting at 1-2.

Eight of the 10 teams were scheduled to be in action on May 25. (Results were not available at press time). The two not scheduled to play, Kenosee and Windthorst, have a game booked for May 26 at 6:30 p.m. in Kenosee.

Five games are scheduled for May 30: the Pats at the Threshers, the A’s at the Astros, the Tower Wolves at the Chiefs, the Cardinals at the Pirates and the Cubs at the Fireballs. All games have 6:30 p.m. start times. The Fireballs game will be at Mets Field in Estevan.

Four more games are scheduled for June 1: the Cardinals at the Fireballs, the Threshers at the Pirates and the Astros at the A’s will play at 6:30 p.m., and the Chiefs will visit the Tower Wolves at 7 p.m.

The Fireballs home game will be at Mets Field, while the Tower Wolves game will be at Lynne Prime Park.
