Trips to Regina are rarely as good as the most recent one that three Sharks teams took last weekend in Regina.

The Mini-Sharks, atoms and bantam are group teams took to the pool and three teams won their age divisions.

The Mini-Sharks were in their first tournament of the season away from the RM of Estevan Aquatic Centre and had two teams in the mini division. There were fewer players than expected at the tournament because of the inclement road conditions as both teams had no substitutes. The White Sharks had three wins, one tie and two losses, while the Blue Sharks had two wins and four losses. Coaches were happy with the team, who were only in their second tournament of the season.

The Sharks put two boys and two girls atom teams in the tournament. The girls had three strong Regina teams in their pool and got 14 goals each from Sadie Smith and Tayla Gervais on the Hammerhead Sharks team. The Tiger Sharks girls team had a couple of Weyburn players join them. Alianna Young scored 11 goals, while Jordyn Tarnes and Sara Kelln had eight goals each. Both teams were 2-3 on the day.

The atom boys teams dominated. Logan Dalziel had 14 goals, leading the Sand Sharks to a 3-1 record. The Angel Sharks were 4-0 in their division against Regina/Saskatoon and Weyburn teams. Dierks Milford and Lucas Dzeryk had 12 goals each.

The bantam girls team went 6-0 to win their division with Mikayla Hack leading the way. The bantam boys went 4-0 and won their age group.

The bantam and cadet teams will go to Regina for a tourmament Nov. 25-26 and the Winter Provincials are in Saskatoon Dec. 9-10 for all age divisions.
