Some top-notch hobby stock and sport mod drivers were at the Estevan Motor Speedway Saturday night for the local stop on the Tougher than Dirt Tour.
Brandon Honrud of Bismarck, N.D., won the hobby stock feature, which had 25 cars. Zach Lutz of Burlington, N.D., came in second and Brad King of Minot, N.D. was third.
The top local driver was Leevi Runge of Lampman. He came in fourth.
Erik Laudenschlager of Minot won the 18-vehicle sport mod feature. Robby Rosselli of Minot was second and Brady Bjella from Williston, N.D., came in third.
Aaron Turnbull of Estevan came in fourth.
The Tougher than Dirt is run over several days in Estevan and several tracks in North Dakota.
Local drivers swept the other three classes. Kody Schopp edged another Estevan driver, Tyson Turnbull, for top spot in the modified class. Travis Hagen of Williston was third.
Chris Hortness of Estevan won the stock car feature for the second straight program. Devon Gonas of Midale was second and Lindsey Wagner of Weyburn came in third.
Ryder Raynard of Estevan won the sling shot feature for the third straight program. Keenan Glasser came in second and Jace Emmel was third.
The next program at the Estevan Motor Speedway will be a stock car invitational on June 1, starting at 7 p.m. Stock cars, hobby stocks and sling shots will be racing.
