The Weyburn Travelodge is raise funds for a new computer monitoring system for the Sun Country Health Region through their 14th annual Charity Golf Tournament.
The golf tournament will be held Sunday, June 5 at the Weyburn Golf Course. Proceeds will go towards purchasing a Centurion Vision System, a computer monitoring system required to work with the laser, to ensure removal of the cataract.
This equipment is necessary to begin the new cataract program at the Weyburn General Hospital.
A Greek supper and live auction will follow the tournament. The Weyburn Travelodge is currently seeking items for the live auction and would appreciate any donations.
Sponsorships are also available. There are two sponsorship packages, a platinum level that costs $800 and a gold level that costs $500.
There is also sponsorship opportunities for first, second and third prizes ($400, $300, and $200 respectively).

During last year’s golf tournament, over $13,860 was raised and donated into the Sun Country Health Region EMS ambulance fund, to help fund a replacement of an ambulance for Weyburn.
Over the previous 13 years of the golf tournament, they have raised over $272,000 for the Sun Country Health Region, specifically the Weyburn General Hospital.
