A new baseball season will be planned by the Weyburn Beavers baseball club at their upcoming annual general meeting.
The annual general meeting will be held in the Community Room at the Weyburn Credit Union on Tuesday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. The evening will include a financial report, a presidents report, and information on some of the incoming players.
Details on the season will also be released.
As usual the Beavers need local people to welcome ball players into their homes as billets and any people who would be interested in working with and for the ball club in one of a host of jobs that keep the season flowing every year.
The Weyburn Beavers represent the second smallest community in the Western Major Baseball League and have made the playoffs for the last two years.
Last year, the Beavers won the Saskatchewan Division pennant, which was a milestone for the baseball club.
Everyone is welcome to be part of the highest calibre summer baseball in Western Canada.
The Beavers are part of the Western Major Baseball League’s premiere summer baseball league.
