WEYBURN – Weyburn powerlifter Chelsea Wahl travelled to Saskatoon on Saturday to compete in the Synergy Open powerlifting meet. Wahl trains in Weyburn at Olympia In Depth and under coach Danny Heintz with Bridge City Barbell in Saskatoon.
Wahl weighed in at 64.65 kg and competed in the 69 kg Women’s Open category. Wahl finished with a personal best squat of 125 kg (275.6 lbs.), a personal best bench press of 62.5 kg (137.8 lbs.) and 12.5 kg personal best deadlift of 155 kg (341.7 lbs.).
Wahl ended with a 342.5 kg (755.1 lbs) three-lift total, beating her last three-lift total by 20 kg. Wahl finished as the best morning session lifter with 73.721 GL points.
Wahl will next compete in September at the Canadian Powerlifting Union Western Championships.
