The Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club sent ten wrestlers to the Freshie-Bantam Provincial Championships in Prince Albert on March 28. Weyburn Wrestlers came away with five gold, three silver and one bronze medal.
Gold medals were awarded to: Allie Gawryluik in the Peewee Female 47-52 kg division; Faith Gryde - Peewee Female 55-56 kg division; Makena Ricard - Peewee Female 63-68 kg division; Frankie Gawryluik - Bantam Female 55-60 kg division and Eric Fleming - Peewee Male 37-39 kg division.
Silver medals went to: Raiden Kiraly - Freshie Male 31-32 kg division; Billy Franklin - Novice Male 33-36 kg division and Dawson Runge - Bantam Male 35-36 kg division.
Kaelyn Bert picked up a bronze medal in the Peewee Female 34-34 kg class.
Karver Heustis placed fourth in the Novice Male 26-27 kg division.
On March 29, the Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club sent eight of their Cadet and Juvenile wrestlers to the Provincial Championships in Saskatoon. Weyburn came home with six medals from the event,
Katelyn Franklin brought home a gold medal in the Cadet FW 60 kg division.
Silver medals went to: Aaron Hemphill in the Cadet FS 50 kg division; Nathan Bradley in the Cadet FS 115 kg division and Braydon Johnston in the Juvenile FS 76 kg division.
Bronze medals went to: Cadet FS 63 kg - Tyler Fleming and Juvenile FS 69 kg - Braydon Roberts.
Ryan Verbeem placed fourth in the Cadet FS 69 kg division while Carter Barrett finished fifth in the Cadet FS 63 kg division.
