Throughout the home game on Saturday, December 6 against the Notre Dame Hounds, there will be a table set up in the lobby of Crescent Point Place where City of Weyburn staff will be collecting non-perishable food items and Salvation Army donations to be given to the less fortunate this holiday season.
The City has challenged Barber Motors to see who can collect the most "weight" in food to donate to the holiday train when it rolls into Weyburn on December 17. Each dollar donated to the cause will count as one pound of food.
The Red Wings will also be offering reduced priced beverages in the beer gardens throughout the game on Saturday in celebration of their recent success on the road.
The team hopes to pack the stands to cheer on the red and white as they make the push to overtake top spot in the Viterra division.
