Women’s tournament wraps up at Frametech Classic

The champion in the women’s division has been crowned at the Frametech Classic at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course. Paige Wheeler shot an 84 in the second round of the tournament Sunday to finish first in the women’s competition.

The champion in the women’s division has been crowned at the Frametech Classic at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course.

Paige Wheeler shot an 84 in the second round of the tournament Sunday to finish first in the women’s competition. She finished with a two-round total of 172.

Both Wheeler and Tenille Wilhelm shot rounds of 88 in the opening round on Saturday. But Wilhelm shot a 91 on Sunday, and wound up seven shots behind Wheeler.

Lori Krupka was third with a 185 (95-90).

The women’s tournament is a two-round competition.

In the men’s division, Kade Johnson holds a two-stroke lead after two rounds of play.

Johnson shot a bogey-free 5-under-par 67 in Round 2 to take the lead; his two-round total sits at 138 (71-67). He birdied the second, seventh, 11th, 17th and 18th holes.

Daryl Donovan sits two strokes back at 140 (71-69). Cody Reynolds is third at 142 (72-70), and first round leader Grady Brown is fourth with a total of 143. He shot a 74 after firing a 69 in Round 1.

The golfers from the men’s championship flight are on the back nine Sunday afternoon and evening for the annual Dave Price Memorial Horse Race.

In the senior men’s division, Ron Rittaler has taken the lead with a two-round total of 156. He had a 77 in the first round and a 79 in the second. Terry Rohatyn is five strokes back after shooting a 161 (81-80).

The men and the senior men play three rounds. The final round will be contested Monday.
