Cheers and Jeers for July 27

Cheers to the decision to paint the Power Dodge Curling Centre building. It looks a lot better now that the ugly double green colour scheme is gone. Cheers to the organizers of the Twilite provincial over-45 baseball tournament.

Cheers to the decision to paint the Power Dodge Curling Centre building. It looks a lot better now that the ugly double green colour scheme is gone.

Cheers to the organizers of the Twilite provincial over-45 baseball tournament. It’s a fun weekend and a chance for older players to prove they can still play the game.

Cheers to the City of Estevan for entertiing the Communities in Bloom competition. Hopefully the upkeep of the city will continue now that the judges have been here.

Cheers to the Estevan Oilfield Technical Society for organizing the Oilwomen’s golf tournament last week, and for opening it up for more golfers to participate.

Cheers to the work that is being completed on the Forever in the Clouds monument. It looks better than ever.

Jeers to the motorists who aren’t stopping for pedestrians at crosswalks. They can’t see the freshly painted crosswalk lines all over the city?

Jeers to the condition of some of the parking lots in Estevan. There are a lot of potholes, and they aren’t easy to drive around.

Jeers to the motorists who have been driving aggressively through the Estevan Comprehensive School’s parking lot. We understand that you need to use the parking lot due to the detour. But please remember that it’s not a through road.

Jeers to residents who haven’t been tidying up their properties, especially with the Communities in Bloom judges in town this week.

Jeers to those who have been littering in our parks. It’s frustrating that someone else has to clean up their mess.
