TYVAN — A portion of a highway that serves as an important link between Regina and southeast Saskatchewan is closed.
According to the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure’s Highway Hotline, Highway 33 is closed in both directions three kilometres northwest of Tyvan. Culvert replacement is taking place. A detour is set up.
Motorists are asked to follow detour signs, reduce speed and use caution while travelling through the area.
According to the Highway Hotline, the closure started the morning of Aug. 23 and is expected to continue until Aug. 28 at 5 p.m.
One other highway closure is ongoing in the southeast. Highway 35 is closed from Weyburn to 3.2 kilometres north of the city for paving. The closure is expected to continue until Sept. 30.
