The Flin Flon Bombers are proud to announce the addition of Tyler Szturm as the team’s new Assistant Coach for the upcoming season.
Originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Szturm brings a diverse playing background to the Bombers.
He competed at the Division I ACHA level in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and most recently played professionally in Iceland.
Closer to home, he spent much of his junior career in Saskatchewan, suiting up for the Estevan Bruins as well as Pilot Butte.
Now turning the page to coaching, Szturm is eager to bring his experience and passion for the game to Flin Flon.
While he never had the chance to play at the historic Whitney Forum, he’s excited to make his mark behind the bench.
“Getting the chance to join such a historic franchise is a great opportunity and something I didn’t want to pass up,” said Szturm. “I hope to share my experience with the players and help the team in its pursuit of an SJHL Championship. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone in the community and can’t wait to be at the Whitney Forum as part of the Bombers bench.”
