Attempted armed robbery under investigation

Members from the Yorkton City RCMP Detachment are currently investigating an assault with weapon incident which occurred January 24 around 9:15 p.m, in which a 35 year old female from Yorkton was held at knife point in the parking lot of a local business situated in the 200 block of Broadway Street East in Yorkton. The suspect is described as being a First Nations male, approximately, 5'10" to 6' tall, heavy build with an acne like complexion. The suspect then fled the scene in an older style four door vehicle, darker in color. The female passenger in this vehicle is also described as being First Nations, 5'4" tall with a heavier set build.

Two unknown witnesses came to the victim's aid and interrupted this incident and the victim was left uninjured. Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying these two witnesses as well as the suspects.
