To the Editor:
The Board of New Horizons Senior Citizens of Yorkton Inc. would like to express our appreciation to the federal government for a grant of $25,000 towards a major renovation of the washrooms at the Senior’s Centre.
This renovation will involve washrooms on upper and lower levels of the local hall and will provide wheelchair accessibility to both levels. It will allow the Senior’s Centre to provide a sanitary, cost-efficient, safe and pleasant environment for seniors and other groups in the community with whom we share our hall.
This project is funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program. Through grants such as this and the support of the community, we are able to continue with many needed improvements to our Senior’s Centre.
