Steeplechase athletes win bronze medals at Summer Games

Jenna McFadyen and Jonathan Adam Podbielski both won in their respective 3000m steeplechase events.

REGINA - Two more bronze medals were just secured by Team Sask. athletes at the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Jenna McFadyen (19) from Waseca won bronze in the women’s 3,000m steeplechase event that took place at Canada Games Park.

Her race was at 2:45pm EST this afternoon and raced against fellow teammate, Kaitlyn Harrison, who finished fourth. The medal ceremony will take place at 6:08pm EST at Canada Games Park. Jenna is also apart of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

Jonathan Adam Podbielski (18) from Regina won bronze in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase event that took place at Canada Games Park.

His race was at 4:15pm EST this afternoon and raced against fellow teammate, Alexander Webster. The medal ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. EST at Canada Games Park. Jonathan set a Saskatchewan High School Provincial 800m Record in 2022.
