Acting upon a request from the Yorkton Exhibition Association and the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce, Yorkton City Council has proclaimed October 30 – November 5 as Agriculture Week in Yorkton. The proclamation recognizes the significant, positive impact the agriculture industry has on the Yorkton business community.
In recognition of Agriculture Week in the city, a unique brand has been developed for a branding iron.  To “kick-off” Agriculture Week, the brand will be applied 10:00 a.m. Monday October 30 in the Main Lobby of the Gallagher Centre. Two very special guests, well-known in the community, will apply the “brand” to a board that will be on display throughout Harvest Showdown. Assisting with the “branding” will be Mayor Bob Maloney; Exhibition President Lori Walsh; and Chamber President Brent Murdock.
Following the branding, a short press-conference highlighting this year’s events will take place. Please feel free to stay, have a coffee, and discover all of the exciting details regarding the 2017 Grain Millers’ Harvest Showdown!
