Canora looking forward to new entrance signs

Visitors to Canora will soon see new signs at the north and south entrances to town.

CANORA - Coming this spring, Canora will have two new signs installed at the north and south entrances to town.

“The Canora Tourism Fundraising Committee would like to thank the community and surrounding area for supporting our fundraising events throughout the summer and fall,” said Brandi Zavislak, committee member and community development officer.

“One of the new signs will be installed on the south entrance where the old wooden one is now and the second one will go on the corner of Highways 9 and 5 where the Memorial Garden is located. Both locations provide a very nice backdrop and are the ideal location for the new signs.”

Each sign measures just under 16 feet wide by seven feet, six inches high, and will be lit once installation is complete.

“The Canora Tourism Fundraising committee has worked hard to fundraise the costs of these two new signs and looks forward to a great lineup of events coming in 2023. We appreciate your support and are proud to be promoting tourism and commerce all while fundraising for community enhancement projects such as this one,” concluded Zavislak.
