Should adults get earlier hockey ice time in Regina?

REGINA — City council has rejected a motion to grant adult recreational hockey players earlier evening ice time. Coun. Mark Burton argued many players are working parents who can’t easily skate after 10 p.m., but hockey organizations warned a mid-season change would disrupt thousands of families. The motion was defeated 8–3, with city staff set to review ice allocation policy for the 2026 season.
