CANORA—“The day went very well, we had an awesome turnout.”
Under mainly sunny skies, Canora Aquatic Park was the site of a well-attended pool party on July 23, according to Ava Love, swimming pool manager.
In addition to the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of swimming, the pool party was billed as “Hot dogs, ice cream treats and inflatable fun.”
“Our highest count in the pool was 100 at a time, but with the bouncy house and other fun activities there were way too many to count,” said Love. “We had a lineup out the door all the way to the street at exactly 1 p.m., the start of the party.”
The fun included a bouncy castle as well as free hot dogs sponsored by Gateway Co-op.
“Andrew Rothnie and Kim Wolkowski from Co-op were there cooking them, and giving out the hot dogs were Shean Plows, Dakota Longman, Amanda Babiarz, Barb Leason, Jordan Musey, Cherylee Bezuidenhout and Kelsey Halchyshak from Crossroads Credit Union.
“Kim Gelowitz brought a bunch of fun activities for kids to enjoy from Mobile Early Learning East Central Area.”
In addition to Gateway Co-op and Crossroads Credit Union, the Town of Canora Leisure Services also shared sponsorship of the pool party.
“We are having a very busy summer at the pool. Swimming lessons and pool rentals are very popular,” concluded Love.
