Draw number three of the Duck Mountain Super League of men’s curling went ahead as

scheduled on very keen ice in Canora on December 7.

Defending champion Ken Newell of Norquay, sponsored by Challoner Farms, defeated Rick

Kinaschuk of Benito. Don Bowes of Madge Lake, sponsored by Hub International, made few

mistakes in handing Tyson Leis of Kamsack his second loss. And Fred Perepiolkin, sponsored by

Nykolaishen Farms, got the win over Canora’s Bob Kolodziejski.

Perepiolkin of Kamsack and Kelly Tibble of Swan River are the only undefeated teams heading

into draw four in Canora on Tuesday, December 14. Newell has two wins and a loss, Kinaschuk and Leis each have a single victory, and Kolodziejski is still looking for his first triumph.

Winning teams in round-robin play are awarded $50 per win and another $1,000 will be on the

line during play-offs set for Kamsack January 11, 2022.

Duck Mountain Super League curling moves to Norquay December 21 and 28. The traveling

bonspiel concludes its regular season in Benito January 04. All games start at 7:30 p.m. and the

public is welcome to attend.
