INVERMAY - Embracing the theme, “Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail,” a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson, the eight members of the Invermay School Class of 2025 celebrated their graduation on June 26.
The graduating students are: Clouie Cabungcal, Robert Bodnarchuk, Chance Enge, Cielo Marasigan, Kevin Gimena, Lance Corpuz, Irish Ferenal and Bailey Maier,
In unfinished business from last year, Rachel Enge received the 2023-2024 Governor General’s Award from Quintin Robertson, Director of Education for Good Spirit School Division.
But there was also plenty of recognition for the excellence of the Class of 2025.
Bailey Maier won the Aspen Paramedic Services scholarship, the Cross Age Tutor certificate, Senior Female Athletic Award, Senior SRC Spirit Award, Visual Art Award, Academic Medallion, Grade 12 Academic Award, Grade 12 Proficiency Award, Invermay SCC scholarship, Good Spirit School Division scholarship, Good Spirit Teacher’s Association scholarship, Invermay School Staff scholarship, Scholarship in Memory of Mdm Loh Guah Hong, and the Village of Invermay scholarship.
Irish Ferenal received the Scholarship in Memory of Mdm Loh Guah Hong, the Cross Age Tutoring certificate, Math Award, Sciences Award, Canadian Studies Award, English Award, Academic Medallion, the Grade 12 Academic Award and the Invermay SCC scholarship.
Lance Corpuz was the winner of the Senior Male Athletic Award and the Principal’s Certificate of Merit.
Robert Bodnarchuk received the Principal’s Certificate of Merit award and the Scholarship in Memory of Mdm Loh Guah Hong.
Kevin Gimena took home the Invermay Agricultural Society Award and the Scholarship in Memory of Mdm Loh Guah Hong.
Cielo Marasigan was the winner of the Wadena Co-op award, while Chance Enge received the RM of Invermay Award.
As chosen by their classmates, the Class of 2025 Invermay School valedictorians were Bailey Maier and Irish Ferenal.
