Preeceville hockey teams continue to excel, aided by Canora players

Canora players contributing offence to successful U15 and U18 teams

PREECEVILLE — The Preeceville Pats U18 hockey team keeps winning in its race for top spot in the league and has recorded seven wins and only two losses with nine games played.

Before the Christmas break on December 22, Preeceville travelled to Langenburg and easily skated to a 6 to 3 win. Scoring for Preeceville were: Spencer Leech (two goals), Kaiden Masley (two goals), and Hudsyn Nelson and Briel Beblow of Canora wrapped up the scoring with one goal each. Assists were contributed by: Zander Purdy, Brody Shankowsky, Trever Geistlinger, Nathan Anaka, Logan Wolkowski of Canora, Leech and Nelson.

The next game saw Fort Knox visit Preeceville on January 7 with Preeceville cruising to a 3 to 1 win. The win put the team in third place in the league standings. Scoring for Preeceville were: Trever Geistlinger, Nathan Anaka and Rhett Ludba of Canora. Assists were by: Spencer Leech, Kaiden Masley, Hunter Lamb and Logan Wolkowski, both of Canora.

The next game was a home game on January 16 against Langenburg. The results were not available at press time.

On January 9, the Hwy. 9 Predators U15 hockey team faced off against the Yorkton RH Electric Terriers in Preeceville. The final score was 6 to 2 for the Predators, and with the win they move into top spot in the league, with a record of nine wins and one tie to date.

Scoring for the Predators were: Briel Beblow (two goals), with singles by Mason Babiuk, Avyn Seerey, Wyatt Wolkowski of Canora and Rhett Ludba. Assists were by: Beblow, Jace Vogel, Ludba, Seerey, Wolkowski, Jake Soltys and Cooper Kraynick of Canora.
