CANORA - It was a chilly day for May 16, but that didn’t seem to slow down the demand for burgers and pop at the 2025 Canora Composite School Grad Fundraiser Barbecue at Gateway Co-op.
“We sold 760 patties during the barbecue,” said Lila Wilson, Grade 12 student, “and between the barbecue, our donation jar, and the extra flowers from another one of our fundraisers, we raised a total of $2,432.”
The total included pre-orders for Canora Junior Elementary School and at CCS from Grades 5 to 8.
“We also delivered to various businesses in Canora,” added Wilson. “All of the proceeds will be going towards our grad ceremony and I would say that this fundraiser turned out very well.
“On behalf of the grads, I want to acknowledge Gateway Co-op for the help and support they gave us for this fundraiser as they were amazing to work with. I also want to acknowledge all the people who came out to support us through this fundraiser as it is much appreciated.”
