CANORA — In an effort to improve both diagnostic efficiency and client comfort, the Canora and District Healthcare Foundation has purchased two items for the Canora Hospital in recent months.
The first was an ice/water dispenser, costing $11,245.28.
“This is something that the hospital desperately needed,” said Chantel Kovacs, Canora Hospital health services manager, “as we previously did not have an ice machine since our old unit went out of service.”
A specialized treatment chair designed for foot care was also purchased for the hospital.
“This was purchased to assist with positioning and comfort of Home Care clients to allow nursing staff better access to their legs and feet to perform medical interventions,” said Kovacs.
The cost of the treatment chair was $7,546.89.
