The Canadian Federation of University Women is an national and international organization of university women graduates that aims to improve the status of women and girls through eduation and life-long learning. Women who support the mandate of the organization can join. The Yorkton Club invites women who are interested in learning more about the club  to join us at a Breakfast Brunch on Saturday, September 24,2016 @ 09:30 at the Godfrey Dean Gallery . The Yorkton Branch of the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society will be holding their next regular meeting on Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00 PM at the Yorkton Public Library.  Whether you are wondering how to get started on researching your family’s roots or have been working on research for a while, you will find helpful advice and lots of enthusiasm to keep your project going!  New members are always welcome.

The York Colony Quilters Guild is offering a series of Beginner Quilting Classes. Classes will be held in late Sept. Cost is $50 for three evening classes. This is a chance to jump start learning basic quilting with a knowledgeable instructor in a relaxed environment. The York Colony Quilter’s Guild meets every Wed. at 9:30 a.m. beginning Sept. 14, 2016 at the Western Development Museum. Experienced and novice sewers are welcome.
