Parents and grandparents gathered to celebrate the achievements of students in the three-year-old class and the four-year-old class at the Preeceville Legion Hall on June 18.

“Today, I give you back your children,” said Lori Newton, teacher. “These are the same children you confidently entrusted to my care last fall. I give them back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature than before.

And although they would have attained this growth in spite of me, it has been my happy privilege to watch these personalities unfold day by day. I have thrilled at each new achievement, each
new success, and each new expansion. We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely, but give them back I must. Take care of them, for they are precious. Thank you for entrusting your children to me, and for letting me watch them grow,” she said.

Preeceville Nursery School had 32 students enrolled this year. “We enjoyed a variety of learning activities in a fun learning environment. Preeceville Nursery School celebrated achievement of students

The year included spirit days - dress up fun, colour days, p.j. days, to name a few. Crafts, snacks, and fun were had daily! The students, being such a large group, learned how to adjust in a large group, and how to get along! Kindergarten will be exciting for those going, and I look forward to learning new things with the ones returning! Preschool is an important stepping stone in a child’s life, and I look forward to taking that step with each new child that comes to school,” said Newton.

Students in the three year- old class were: Briley Friday, Carter Moekerk, Ethan Balawyder, Gavin Erickson, Hailey Spray, Maddy Pole, Melissa Durand, Owen Draper and Trenley Nelson.

Members of the four year- old class who will be enrolled at the Preeceville School Kindergarten class in the 2015-2016 school year, are: Chloe Bourassa, Rhone Darmochid, Maria Anguluan, Erl DelaTorre, Peyton Lisoway, Blake Descalchuk, Seth Reynolds, Jackson Strykowski, Lilly Kinneard, Braxton Danielson, Boden Heskin, Sydney DeRuiter, Maggie Ivanocko, Azeez Mosuro, Trinity Petras, Macey Mitchell, MacKenna Firman, Claire Masko, Dexter Penner, Ireland Zuk, Kelmer Albarracin and Alexander Acosta.
