As learned at the most recent council meeting of the Town of Outlook, a by-election will be held later this spring to fill a vacant councillor seat. The date of the by-election will be Wednesday, May 30.
The vacancy came as a result of the resignation of former councillor Maureen Weiterman, which went into effect on December 15.
The civic election that was held in the fall of 2016 saw heavy interest from numerous people who tried to win a seat on Outlook’s town council. It remains to be seen who may have retained that same interest and who might put their name forward in trying to secure the vacant councillor role later this year.
