Yorkton honours veterans with Remembrance Day service

The Yorkton Community Concert Band performed.

YORKTON - ‘A Day of Solemn Remembrance’ was marked in Yorkton Saturday.

Hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion General Alexander Ross Branch No. 77 – Yorkton, Remembrance Day services were held at the Gallagher Centre Flexihall.

Master of Ceremonies was Legion Padre, Rev. Allan Rundel.

The Yorkton Community Concert Band performed, and the Yorkton and District Pipe Band provided music for the parade.

The Yorkton Tribal Council Drum Group performed the honour song ‘Soldier Boy’.

Wreaths were laid by a variety of individuals and organizations including Silver Cross Mother Bonnie Rushowick, MP Cathay Wagantall, MLA Greg Ottenbreit and Yorkton Mayor Mitch Hippsley.
