As the competition heated up, spectators were treated to some intense matchups, culminating in unforgettable battles that will impact the rest of the league.

The highlight of the week was the clash between two undefeated teams, Swan Valley Chiropractic and Swan Hills Properties. Both teams entered the match with pristine 5-0 records, but it was Swan Valley Chiropractic that emerged victorious with a dominant 5-0 performance, solidifying their position at the top of the division.

In other exciting encounters, Pioneer Hybrid narrowly edged out Pattison Ag with a final score of 6 to 4, while the Whistle Stop fell just short against W.F. Schneider and Sons in a tight battle that ended 7 to 6. The final game saw the winless NCC Farms snatch a single point in the eighth end to secure their first victory, triumphing 7 to 6.

The Kamsack venue provided excellent ice conditions, and players and fans alike enjoyed the wings and refreshments after the games, creating a vibrant atmosphere around the rink.

Looking ahead, the tension was building with the final round-robin games set to take place in Benito, Man. on Dec. 12. These matches will determine the top four teams advancing to the championship round, while the bottom four will head to the consolation side. With a couple of make-up games in the mix, the final outcome remains uncertain, adding an extra layer of excitement to the league.

Mark your calendars for the playoffs, which kick off on Friday, Dec.15, at 5 p.m. in Swan River, Man. The Swan River Curling Club, in collaboration with sponsors, will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the league, offering food and drink specials, along with enticing prize giveaways. Curling enthusiasts and community members are encouraged to come out and “witness the culmination of a spectacular season, as teams go against one another for the coveted championship title,” concluded the release.
