Duck Golf Tournament brings community together for good cause

The Madge Lake and surrounding area community came together for a charity golf tournament to raise funds for the maintenance of Duck Mountain National Park.

MADGE LAKE — The Madge Lake and surrounding area community came together on the 15th of September for a charity golf tournament to raise funds for the maintenance of the Duck Mountain Ski Area, which is in need of repairs, particularly the rewiring of the green lift. The event, organized by dedicated volunteers, saw a turnout of 125 participants, all eager to contribute to the cause.

The event, held at the Madge Lake golf course, teed off with enthusiasm as golfers from the community and beyond gathered for a day of friendly competition.

The golfers, some local and others from farther afield as far as Regina shared stories and enjoyed each other's company throughout the day. The fundraiser not only provided an opportunity for the community to come together but also gave participants a chance to enjoy a beautiful day of golf while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Organizers said the support from sponsors for the event was much appreciated.
