KAMSACK - On Wednesday, April 13, Kamsack Nursing Home employee Stan Potts brought six hatched baby chicks for the residents to interact with.

Stan incubated the 21 eggs in his home, and after 21 days they hatched and were brought in at just four days old.

There was a barnyard mix of yellow, black, and speckled varieties including Americana and Wyandotte breeds. Stan said that every spring he enjoys trying to hatch babies. For the residents of the Kamsack Nursing Home, seeing the sweet chicks brought back so many memories of their past and raising chickens on the farm. They loved it. Thank you, Stan!
