Kamsack Times

It was a cold day with near whiteout conditions, but that didn’t stop Lydia Cherkas, president of the Kamsack Powerhouse Museum, from venturing out to open the doors at the Kamsack Museum for a special peek inside.

On February 3, representatives from the business community of Kamsack and surrounding area were invited to attend a forum to discuss economic development strategies.

It began with a vision from Staff Sergeant Noel Allard of the Kamsack RCMP. A special coin was designed with input and collaboration from fellow RCMP members in Kamsack and surrounding areas.

Around 5 p.m. on January 24, the Kamsack Fire Department responded to a structure fire on third street in Togo. “When we arrived, fire had fully engulfed the home,” said Kamsack Fire Chief, Ken Thompson.
