The Village of Rhein celebrated its 100th anniversary over the weekend.
The bulk of activities were held Saturday including a kick-off pancake breakfast, parade, a noon wiener barbecue with entertainment by Jackie Guy, static displays of heritage photographs in the senior centre, with a Rhein Rockets fastball team alumni game in the afternoon, and a dance in the evening. Sunday a rededication of the village's war memorial was held.
