The Yorkton Film Festival is proud to announce the selected participants for this year’s RBC Mentorship Program. The three selected participants are:
• Andrew Wiens, Manitoba
• Julia Morgan, Ontario
• Ryan Wilson, Manitoba
“We had an incredible interest in this year’s program, and it was certainly a tough decision making process for our selection committee,” said YFF Executive Director Randy Goulden. “But we are very pleased with the selected participants this year, and we’re looking forward to having them in Yorkton to begin the mentorship process.”
The RBC Mentorship Program was a three-year project designed to connect emerging content developers with established professionals to advance their filmmaking careers. The mentorship program is a participant-driven program that connects emerging filmmakers with established industry professionals who can provide expert level advice and networking opportunities to help emerging talents in Canada’s creative industries.
The program is a 52 hour mentorship and guidance program that connects the participants with their mentor through in-person and digital means.
RBC provided the funding for this project as part of a three year program to foster investment in Canada’s creative sector by supporting emerging talents. 2018 marks the final year in the three year program.
