The Yorkton Film Festival is pleased to announce the latest installment of our Open Cinema program for the month of February! Join us for an early Valentine's Day celebration as we screen the romantic film, "Love Letters". Based on A. R. Gurney's Pulitzer Prize winning play of the same name, "Love Letters" features just two characters, a man and a woman who write to each other a period of fifty years. It tells the story of their triumphs, their losses, their love. The film uses excerpts from the play and includes interviews with the performers including Gordon Pinsent (Away From Her), Carlo Rota (Little Mosque on the Prairie), Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Samantha Bee and Jason Jones (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart). Join us for this romantic evening, followed by a discussion based on the topics risen by the film on Tues., Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Yorkton Public Library. As always, Open Cinema is open to all members of the public and is completely free of charge.
