Community dances to return with Bounty Theatre event in Outlook

Weekly dances were all the rage decades ago at the legendary Bounty Theatre hall, and now they're making a return in August.

OUTLOOK - Generations ago, over in the tiny hamlet of Bounty on the west side of the South Saskatchewan River, weekly community dances brought out people from all over the region.

They'd cross the river from Outlook, and others would arrive from the nearby communities of Conquest, Milden, Dinsmore, Macrorie and other areas, and all with one thing on their mind:

A night out dancing at the Bounty Theatre hall.

Those evenings were certainly memorable, if one were to ask anyone from that generation. They were also highly consistent, as such events were known as a weekly occurrence back in their heyday.

Of course, as things go, those dances came and went with the passage of time.

However, in just a couple of weeks, those dances are actually set to make a return.

On Saturday, August 16 from 7-10 PM at the Bounty Theatre in Outlook, a community dance is once again being held, resurrecting something that was so cherished years ago.

Live music will be provided by Godwellhaze, with a cash bar and lunch included.

Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $5 for those aged 15 and under.

There is limited seating, so tickets are available in advance by reservation by emailing Linda Joyes at [email protected]. You can also pay at the door.
