Although the weather was not very cooperative this year for outdoor activities, the City of Yorkton’s policy of free activities at its recreational facilities Monday was a great opportunity for families to take advantage of.

Gallagher Centre featured free swimming, public skating, walking track, drop in soccer and drop in tennis.

At Gloria Hayden Community Centre, badminton, basketball, racquet ball, pickle ball, volleyball and floor hockey were available in addition to its elevated walking track.

The Kinsmen Arena had public skating for the general public as well as pre-school and seniors sessions. Kinsmen also offered shinny hockey Monday morning.
