The Yorkton Cross Country Ski Club (YCCSC) at Deer Park Golf Course, kicks off the season in style. Come ski with the Mayor! Sun., Jan. 8 @ 1 p.m. for the official trail opening ribbon cutting ceremony. Mini ski refresher course @1:15 with instruction by 2 stars of the Canadian Birkebeiner. So, dig out your skis, worn or shiny from the barn, the rafters or the garage and come join us. Trail ski begins @ 2:15. Beginners, rusty beginners, intermediates and pros, all welcome. Refreshments available at a minimal fee. Proceeds to go to the YCCSC trail grooming equipment fund.
