Yorkton Girl Guides turned Yorkdale School into a trade show Sunday as a fundraiser for the organization’s next biannual trip. In addition to revenue from renting tables to a wide variety of vendors, the girls sold raffle tickets, painted kids’ faces, ran a snack bar and, of course, sold their famous cookies. Last year, the event raised around $2,000. The money will offset the cost of travel in July 2017 when a group is scheduled to go to Hawaii.
