Parkland Mall will be hosting their 3rd Annual Back to School Outdoor Movie Event on Thurs., Aug. 22 at dusk. The Outdoor Movie Event is free to the public. The Movie Event will give people of all ages an opportunity to enjoy their favorite movie in the comfort of their own park, while supporting a worthwhile community initiative. A terrific family event for the people of Yorkton. Approximately 400 people attended last year's event.

The Yorkton and District Horticultural Society will be holding their "Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Show" on Tues., Aug. 13 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at St. Gerard's Parish Complex. In recognition of our 35th annual Sunflower, the Yorkton Arts Council is inviting creative expressions in any medium for Helianthus XXXV, an exhibition at community pARTners gallery at the Yorkton Public Library.
