Yorkton Council has declared Nov 16 to 22 in the city as Anti-Bullying Week.
The decision was made at the regular meeting of Council Monday at the request of the St. Mary's School Community Council.
The Council, along with St. Mary's Staff and Students will be taking part in its third year of the initiative, explained Dominique Hayden, chairperson of the school council.
"This year there's more of a community theme," she said, adding with that focus nationally the school will endeavour to have wider participation in its events.
