Upstairs, the Gallagher Centre empowered creative artists to elevate their artistic passions into a sustainable business during Saturday afternoon. One on one conversation allowed attendees to speak to a variety of organizations about networking and funding opportunities. To kick off the event, photographer Kris Grunert, singer/songwriter Jackie Guy and Aboriginal Activist/ Performance Artist Jacob Pratt each shared their personal successes and failures in business, as well as giving advice to attendees on how to let their passions lead them. The overall purpose of the meeting is to help individuals help the community by growing a healthy cultural backbone.
