A former Yorkton businessman who allegedly committed an aggravated assault in Yorkton last May and was on the run in B.C. is back in town.

Adam Paton, previously the owner of Skin City Tattoo, appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court January 12 and was remanded in custody pending an electronic monitoring report. He is scheduled for a bail hearing this afternoon.

Paton was picked up by the Kelowna RCMP on a warrant January 1 and placed on a six-day remand for return to Saskatchewan.

According to Sgt. Rob Laurent of the Yorkton General Investigations Section, the aggravated assault charge stemmed from a fight at a restaurant on Broadway Street in May 2014.
