On Monday morning, a trickle of water into adjacent businesses led to the discovery that the basement of the former Painted Hand Casino building on 3rd Avenue North had completely filled with water, likely due to a burst pipe. City of Yorkton crews shut off the water to the empty building and began the multi-day process of pumping out the water that afternoon.
