The Ministry of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport recently announced that Andrew Konoff won the contest for the best summer job ever.

Konoff will spend the summer travelling and blogging about everything that makes Saskatchewan special.

"There is already a buzz about the Saskatchewanderer chosen by our province's residents in the recent contest," Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Bill Hutchinson said. "I know the people of Saskatchewan will find his work both interesting and informative."

More than 60 young people applied to be the Saskatchewanderer. The ministry shortlisted a group of candidates and then the public voted for their favorite.

"I am so excited to hit the road and see as much as I can this summer," Konoff said. "I love this province and I can't wait to engage people through social media and in person, as I tell the Saskatchewan story."

Bennett Dunlop Ford is sponsoring the Saskatchewanderer by providing a new vehicle for him to travel around the province in.

"This is exactly the type of social media marketing project we wanted to get involved with," Bennett Dunlop Ford President Trevor Boquist said. "This is the new Saskatchewan and I'm excited to watch the Saskatchewanderer tell our story."

CAA Saskatchewan had previously announced their sponsorship. CAA will help keep the Saskatchewanderer safe on the road this summer.
