FORE!!! Heads’ Up! Annual golf tournament brings together community for those impacted by brain injuries.
Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association’s Brain Boogie is a walk-a-thon and fun run held in five cities around the province. Yorkton is the exception! Participants will compete in fun tournament and enjoy a steak supper at Cherrydale Golf Course on August 27, 2016.
Brain injury survivors and their families strongly support the Brain Boogie. Pledges, donations, and an undeniable positive energy come to the Brain Boogie with survivors and their families.
“This group is a safe place where we are comfortable sharing our struggles and our successes. The group seems to “get it” when we share personal stories,” said one survivor about the programs funded by the Brain Boogie.
The Yorkton Brain Boogie is a golf tournament and steak dinner. Registration is at 1 p.m., first tee off at 2 p.m. and supper starts around 5:30 p.m. Organizers are still looking for prizes and donations to show the community’s support for local survivors.
The Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association works diligently to raise awareness, and to prevent brain injuries. Brain injury is the number one killer and disabler of children and those under the age of 44. SBIA aims to change these statistics through events like the Brain Boogie.
