BREDENBURY - Cougars need more volunteers

A very successful noon luncheon was held at the Knox United Church this past Wednesday. A big thank you for all your support, work, donations and help in any way. Greatly appreciated. There will be two luncheons in March and April 2015.

A very successful noon luncheon was held at the Knox United Church this past Wednesday. A big thank you for all your support, work, donations and help in any way. Greatly appreciated. There will be two luncheons in March and April 2015.

Don't forget the Rink Grand Re-Opening on Sat., Dec. 6, 2014, 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. There will be free hamburgers, hotdogs, coffee, hot chocolate and dessert.

There will also be a special announcement and free entertainment that will consist of a magician for the children on the ice surface so dress warm. After the show there will be free glow in the dark skating so dress in white.

The Lions are now collecting warm clothing for the Warm Fuzzy Program. Please drop off your unwanted warm clothing at the town office or Roundup Butcher Shop in one of the boxes. All of these clothes go to families in need of warm clothing.

The Lions will be putting up a donation sheet at the town office and Roundup Butcher Shop asking for donations to help cover the cost of distributing candy bags to Saltcoats School during the Christmas Concert.

Special thanks to the Lions Club for organizing and having a very meaningful Remembrance Day Service. It was well attended by the community & district.

Bredenbury Cougar games are well underway. Volunteers are needed to work the kitchen, door 50-50 and other jobs that keep the rink running. If you have a spare evening why not volunteer. Come out and support our home team.

The new arena clock has arrived and has been put up in the rink. The clock is working great and a great addition to the rink.

If anyone in town or district has missed being canvassed by Donor's Choice please drop off your donation at the Bredenbury Town Office as soon as possible. There are lots of extra forms if you need one to fill out.

Eva Knott, Darlene Burman & Arnold & Sheila Vickers enjoyed the Country Blend Concert in Langenburg last Wednesday evening.

Dave & Gloria Herron visited with Brian, Shirley & Tyson Herron of Regina this past weekend.
